does anyone know where to buy or how to fabricate those bent spring-wire links used to attach ground throws and above layout switch machines to ross or gargraves switches? Made alot of calls today with no results. too bad I didn’t remember 2 days ago at the greenberg show.[8)]
the only thing that sounds correct is #6002 throw springs. I dont see them listed on the price list for ordering.
You can get piano wire at most hobby shops, particularly ones that cater to RC planes and cars. There are a variety of bending jigs availble as well:
e.g.

Go to Ross Custom Switches and you can buy the DZ100 switch machine. Don’t know about parts for the switch machine.
Gargarves wants you to buy a certain dollar amount or they won’t sell to you.

ah piano wire, that’s the ticket. thanks much. the guy from z stuff is sending me a few.
Not to put down Z Stuff but when I talked to Z Stuff last, about a year ago, they would only deal directly with hobby shops that made a good size purchase, maybe they have changed!
