Squeaky Wheels - Help

Hi

I have a small problem… a Walther’s Proto 1000 powered subway car took a tumble onto a concrete floor. I managed to get the worm gears back in place as well as the truck holders. I ran the car and everything seemed fine for about 10 minutes. Then a squeak started. It seems less obvious running the car backwards, but if I reverse it and run it forward the squeak returns. (It’s not very loud however and occurs on straight or curved track).

Any thoughts?

Fall may or may not have anything to do with the squeak. I would add a drop of oil to the axle and brass bushing in the trucks first.

I all so have a few engines (mainly Athearns) when the wheels get nasty, they squeak. My SD 50 Rio Grand makes a racket, clean the wheels, sound is gone.

Worse yet it is intermittent and may or may not be related to one of the un powered cars (never dropped).
