SSW9699-Unpatched GP-60

For those of you who follow these engines: Saw the GP-60 { SSW9699]
-un patched and still in the grey and red with Cotton Belt markings rolling south out of Parsons today, third unit of three, the other two were probably SD-70’s[ a 4500 and 9600 series numbers, but could not get close to determine if was live or dead. The train appeared to be a General Merchandise, primarily lumber flats and boxcars and a few tankers.
Unusual to see one of these after 10 or so years still in Cotton Belt colors and no external Union Pacific markings. You kind of wonder where it’s been hiding all that time.

Good deal. The tunnel motors and the GP60s just don’t look right in yellow paint.
