Here is the link. It is a subscription based purchase. You pay alot for the name, but hey its the 2007 World Champs!
I think these are put out by Hawthorne Village (which actually uses Bachman equipment repainted). They’re extremely expensive, like $50 per piece. That’s $50 for the loco, $50 for EACH CAR!!!
Kevin
That is a great looking train but Holly-Molly! Yeah that is Very Expensive, I guess I would be paying for the name. Although it looks like you get the Engine, 2-cars, and track for $70.oo.
Is each extra car really $50? That is alot of money per car isent it?
They really don’t give enough information!!
I am going to get ahold of Hawthorne Village or some one that can fill me in on it. I think it is a must have for my lay out. sence my lay out will be made of memorries of my soon to be wife and I. The cardinals is a huge thing in her famlies life!
Yes I think It will have to be a must have for me!
Go Cards. The way I understand the advertisement its $69.95+7.99shipping PER car!!!Thats $76.74 per shipment!!!They dont tell you how many cars there are. They say the first shipment is the locomotive, but is that just the A unit?? Then the B for another $76.74 then each car for $76.74?WOW.I thought Walthers passenger cars were expensive.I would like to find more info, because Id really like a set.Im wearing a Cardinals hat right now.(usually do)Maybe they make a Cubs train, but you know…it never gets to where its going…HA HA HA HA HA Sorry, just a friendly little rivalry you know.
Gotta pay for that new stadium somehow… [}:)]
I think that they have that covered! Heck, they even auctioned off the urinal from the club house!!!

I agree with you both. I think each car will be $76.74. If that is so and I do buy, lets just say my Cards Train will be pretty short.
I also agree that they have to pay for that great new stadium some how.
Although I am glad to say that I got to go to the very first game in the new staduim and got to sit in
infield box section 148! GO CARDS!

The perfect gift for a Cardinals fan!
I have a Cardinals train that Rivarossi put out about 15 years ago. It has nothing to do with baseball. The Catholic Church was having a convention of Cardinals in Chicago and since many of the the Cardinals from Europe would be arriving in New York, the New York Central put together a special train just to take them from New York to Chicago. It was a first class train with the cars and the Hudson on the lead painted Cardinal Red.
GO CUBS!
You know there had to be one to do it. That being said, I better not let my wife see that train or she’ll want one (BIG CARDINALS FAN).
When I read the title of the post, I was thinking, cool, a special train to the Cardinal’s game. What could be better, baseball and a train ride! (I do like the Cardinals too, usually end up cheering them on to post season play versus my beloved Cubbies)

As long as Steve Bartman isn’t the engineer.[:D]
I don’t really like baseball, but the train looks good! Wee bit expensive though, especially if you don’t even run it with your roster.
Go BREWERS!!
Sorry same division, and well since we went 81-81 last year I decided to jump on the bandwagon. The train does like nice, but I do agree though $76 per car is a little steep. I wonder how hard it would be to take a cheap locomotive and try to paint it once and just downloading the decals from their website and using that decal paper in a printer?
Just a thought…
DON
about $75 i’ve seen What about them Cubs.
This is a great train but you NEVER mention the cubs in a Cardinal topic.

As mentioned above, the locomotive and cars are lifted from the Bachman trainset you might fight a toy store.
My cousin (not a modeler) has a Cubs train put out by the same folks. Like the Cubs, it is a loser! Just remember Cubs stands for:

Useless
