St. Louis Tornado....Strikes Trainspotters....1 dead

Ok…I am watching Channel 4 News her in St. Louis. One Railfan is dead after being struck by debris from a Tornado near Breeze Illinois. Raifan Tom Razuzal was struck in the head by peice of concrete that was laying alongside the highway. Its Sad to hear about his death…Apperntly they were chasing a UP freight that had some Ferromex power. Anyway…Wish St. Louis Luck with Future Storm.

My thoughts are with everyone during all these storms.

It’s getting very dangerous out there today in Indiana and Kentucky for what I have seen on all the radars and the news stations in Lexington. I have heard nothing but Tornado warnings for most of Louisville and Lexington areas as well as parts of Eastern KY.

Locomutt emailed this afternoon and said they have gotten through Round , just waiting for round 2.

More storms expected tonight when the cold front makes it’s way through.

My prayers are with Tom and his family.

OUCH. Sorry to hear about that. Condolences to those involved.

It’s getting so the “rule of the road” - always expect a train, seems to apply to tornados lately. TWC today reported over 90 tornados Saturday, and expected 100 today.

we got 2 in of rain today and more on the way.gotta keep matt inside.condolances to the family.please
stay safe out there

Sorry to hear that we have a lost in our railfan community. These storms are starting to take a toll across the country.

I’m sorry to hear about a death in the railfan community. Everyone who is experiencing severe weather is in my thoughts and in my prayers.

Very Saddening! Condolences to the family!

Was he attempting to get into a car or a shelter of some type. What happened?

My thoughts are with the family. Here in metro Chicago yesterday we were pummeled by two lines of storms, one in the late a.m. and one early evening (around dinner time). Best guess about three inches of rain. Since the bad 17 inch flood storm of 1996 we are really scared about these storms! Lots of wind yesterday and tormador sirens went off with the later of the two storms, but nothing seemed to materialize (thank God).

I like trains and all, but there’s no way I’d be out watching them with the weather being the way it is down there.

You gotta draw the lines sometimes.

We’ve lost one of our own. My prayers and condolances go out to his friends and family.
