St. Thomas Railway Days May 13th

Hey Everyone

Anyone going to the St. Thomas Railway Days train show this Sunday coming up, May 13?

Caso

No one going?

Caso

I am a huge fan of this little operation, and can’t wait for the anticipated return to steam this year! I rarely miss a chance to take it in.

I find their website is always lacking on what is going on, I would like to see a schedule of events online so I know well in advance when they are running, I have missed several chances in the past only to find out about a great excursion after the fact!

No. 9 is the engine prominently displayed on our website and on the CD covers with which we distribute our documentation…

I hope they run it to Delhi and back again this year, as this trip goes past the house I grew up in many years back. The rails have been lifted on the Cayuga Sub just past Delhi all the way to Fort Erie, but somehow Delhi was spared and is still connected to the outside world. Not sure for how much longer as with the collapse of the tobacco growing industry the only industry in Delhi served by rail is the fertilizer plant, and I can’t see it lasting much longer. []

Seeing the end of railroad traffic where I spent most of my childhood will be a heartbreak, so I never miss the trip.

Do you know if they are going to be running steam this weekend? Would love to find out what they are planning on for the summer so I don’t miss it.

as long as the industries stay the line is fine in delhi.

remember future transfer has a huge depot at tillsonburg too

it should be a pretty good show!!

Reminder the St. Thomas Railway Days Train Show is at the Wellington Shops, in St. Thomas Ontario

Starts from 10 to 3pm

Features several big vendors and train stores.

Old equipment and train rides.

Come out and help support the museum

I would love to go but being its Mothers Day I doubt I’ll be going. I’ve driven past there many times driving to the drag strip but I’ve never stopped.

The Future there is so unknown, grewing up in the area. Its a shame. I remember the CSX trains on the CASO, and NS with caboosess on the Cayuaga Sub. This area is a shell of its past. The future of the museum is an unknown.
