does anyone know how I can make stained glass windows for a church? (N scale)
You could try printing on clear acetate with an ink-jet printer (color). Seal the ink with glosscote and voila!
some ceramic shops carry a stain glass insert for their ceramic items, that would work with most scale train buildings.
There are overhead projector transparency sheets to be found at ANY computer supply store or at Staples, Office Max, or Office Depot.
Your printer manufacturer should have their own brand for you.
Scan the needed window from a magazine or picture book then use the usually included photo manipulation software to adjust it to the right size and print. Glosscote may not work with this method so use the sealer from the same source or HAIR spray to seal.
Another method is to use photo transparencies from any good photo shop. Use your favorite Church and camera even a cheap one and have a positive transparency made from the photo shop. more money but if you dont have an ink jet printer and computer it may be the best route.
