very funny guy’s. it is a good thing on train was hit or it would have taken longer.
I remember when it was originally shut down because there was “no need for it”. Then it was reopened after a bunch of work then talk about closing it up again because there was not “enough” traffic. They finnaly settled into using it for Eastbound loads.
Actually, most eastbound trains on Stampede Pass are empty. Typical was the “No Grainer” going through Yakima this morning.
Was this actually a meteor!! I don’t see mountains around these show sheds where this 10000 Pound boulder would have come from let alone get enough speed to do that kind of damage??
As I recall there was a speedy east coast passenger train named “Silver Meteor”.
