Did lionel ever make a standard O NYC Husdon locomotive with railsound and TMCC?

Yes, a few have been built…The famous 700 Hudsons were built from 1937-1942, in the prewar era… The postwar era seen production of the 773 in 1950, and again during 1964-1966. The Modern era has seen the 785 (18002), from 1987. This is to name a few… There are more that have been built since then…

But that’s the point. Except for the Baby Hudson, EVERY Hudson I know of made in almost 20 years has been a derivative of the 700E and off-spring. All of them have RS, and i don’t thinkl any have been made in years without TMCC.

Oh, I wish they made on not based off the 700e. Thats what I was looking for.

I found one! Its in the 2002 volume 1 catologe! It comes with heavyweight passenger cars too. its the 50th Anniversary set.

That’s a good question. I can’t think of any O-scale Hudson by Lionel that wasn’t descended from the postwar version.

I think what Billbarman is talking about is lately (3-4 yrs ago), like the Bershire or the GS-4. A Hudson with everything, like today’s 2008 cat. engines. More so with Legacy. A Hudson that should be produce every year just like the SF F units. It’s an original. I don’t know if thats what Billbarman was talking about, but that’s what I want to know.

The 50th Anniversary set from 2002 (6-31705) Appears to include a hudson simular to (if not a) 6-28072…That is a nice set for $1499.95…So, it is nice to know that a unstreamlined J3a Hudson with TMC could be purchased two different ways: as a set, or as a separate locomotive.

Between 1987 to 2000.,??? Anyone???
