I reminds me of a Japanese shunting engine -where the engines were slung very low to give the driver an all round vision of the goods yard -DE10 or possibly a Finnish DV12. If you want to build a real strange one -then have a look at what we (in the UK) call a “Teddy Bear” -the Class 14…
Its not that, its just the only hobby time I seem to have these days is either very early in the morning, or very late at night, so invariably what little free time I get is spent inside on the bench.
Most of my stuff is done between the hours of 6-6:30 AM and 10-11 PM, rest of the time I’m owned by work, chores, or spending time with the wife. I do love her, but I really hate watching Duncing with the Stars [D)]
What SIN he’s commited cutting up a SP Black Widow in any scale. Good start, you must have a never ending supply of part’s. I resently found my BNO flat like that one and gave it to my son ( #7 ) he want’s to make CALIF. PARTY CAR from it, Pink & Blue haired people on one end and sacks of weed on the other, what a trip that would be.
Be sure to posts some pictures of that, if its ment to be contemporary party car, dont forget a bunch of idiots high on E bouncing up and down to some really annoying Techno music.
Looking good, I will have to let my son ( #7 ), read this post, maybe he will get started on his party car. I know he want’s to do another clay-mation vidio, this may be his insperation.
Control stand??? Looks like a chunk of wood use as target practive by someone with a new screwdriver? Could you ba a little bit more explicit? What does it control? how does it work? etc.
Its supposed to represent an early dismal control stand, I keep it bare minimum as to represent a very simple control system that would have been typical of a 40’s or 50’s era early dismal.
This is from a GP, but I figure the big lever is the throttle and the little lever is the brake. I added some knobs and bottons and a couple of gauges, dont ask me what they all do, I dont know, I’m much better with steam, just trying to create a reasonable representation of an early dismal control stand so when you look inside Joe the engineer isn’t sitting in the middle of an empty room.
Today these look more like bloomin’ computer consuls.
I’ve painted the interior and will post some new pics this weekend.
OOOPS! Thought it was something you designed to help run your nonexistent railroad. Did not see that it was for Joe the engineer to drive you miniature train. My apologies kind sir.
I understand that you just hired three new mainline engineers.
