would any body like to start a model railroad club or already have one in the area of harvard .il rick
i guess not. no body close to harvard?
If you are serious about starting a club, then you need to at least tell people what scale(s) and what kind of rule structure you are talking about.
I’ve been a member of my HO club for over 15 years now, and the club has been around since 1938. We are a large club with over 60 members in a 10,000 sq. ft. building. We are very regimented in that we are a 501(c)3 Not for Profit incorportated club that follows By-Laws and Robert’s Rules of Order.
But not every club has to be like that. There are many organizations that are very loose, with no By-Laws or anything close to them. Round Robin groups, for example, tend to be very laid back.
You also need to tell people if you are looking for club space, what kind of dues are you talking about, etc. Clubs are a lot of work, but one can get a lot out of them.
