Starting water!

heyy everyone i have my lake cut out but wat can i out around it so the water doesnt go under the table? like the whole goes along the table.how ca i block the water from going places i dont want it too??? help me out!! thanx!

To start, what you just said made VERY LITTLE sense. Please attempt to spell and punctuate correctly, it is extremely difficult to help you otherwise.

It seems that you are saying the water area is on the edge of your board and you want to temporarily block it while the material you use for water hardens. One technique I have seen is to screw in a piece of plywood coated with wax paper where the water material would run off. After the material hardens, you can take the plywood and wax paper off, then use wood filler or similar material to fill in the screw holes.

HI, Idid this trick and it work really fine, I cut my hole took the cut out and lig.nailed 1 and a half inch 1x2 blocks too the sides ,then glued it (the top of the 1x2) back under the hole ,let it dry and then used sculptamold to make the shore line and fill the gap around the hole . painted it to color then poured in the water mix . with the blocks you can make it as deep or as shallow as you want. hope this helps . worked great for me . good luck ,RAY…

First I lined the water area bottom and for about 1/2" up the "shores or banks with a thin layer of wood putty, the kind you mix and then spread thinly in preparation for sanding and staining a piece of furniture. When it hardens, you can sand it to smooth where you need to. Then, on open ends, like the end of your bench, use painter’s tape folded over and press it thoroughly all along the open edge creating a D.A.M (in case the censor gets huffy). If you’d like to be extra careful, add some of that putty to the edge and partway up the side of the D.A.M. Place newspaper under that edge to catch any drippings.

Mix, pour, let harden, and rip off the tape.

Don’t forget to paint the river/lake bottom before you pour. The putty takes paint very well.
