I’ve been googling and only found one good sound of Alco startup.
Anyone know any specific links where I can find sounds of different engines startup and other engine sounds too?

I found a link before of Lima diesel switcher sounds but I did’nt bookmark it, it’s out on the web somewhere, hope this helps.

I’m suprized there aren’t more EMD and GE recordings, since these are so common these days.

I hear EMD starting up at about 7:30 am almost every morning because I pass near the back of the station, but I don’t know where my head is and where my***is that early in the morning, so I never recorded it.
I love the sound, like a giant vacuum cleaner being turned on, then it goes into a wild turbo whine, then down to the normal whine.

i’ll have to make one of our 'deere startin up on a chilly morning. best to have the doors on the shed all open and a full can of ether.
