I don’t have photos of some of my favorites, but I’d love it if some other folks could post shots of the Boise, Idaho and Shoshone, Idaho stations.

Excellent thread. Wish I had some of my own photos to share, but all I could do was post these links. I have a lot of fond memories of railfanning at these locations during my youth.

First on my list is B&O St. Denis station in Relay, MD. I wish I would’ve had the foresight to snap some photos of the original structure during my railfan visits here in the 1970’s; all I could find online was this old photo from the early 1950’s. The tracks on the right are the B&O’s Camden line, while those on the left are the historic Old Main Line:

The station building fell into disrepair and was eventually torched by vandals. The MARC commuter rail authority replaced it with an open-air shed. The site is still popular with railfans because of its location at the convergence of two busy CSX branches. Here is St Denis as it looks TODAY (photo hosted on www.railroadsignals.us):

Next we have the B&O depot at Sykesville, MD, now home to Baldwin’s Restaurant named in honor of the architect Francis Balwin who designed it. Life-like made an HO scale model of this station in the early 1990’s. (photo hosted on www.railroadsignals.us)

Laurel, MD. Formerly B&O, now used as a MARC staion. I used to commute from here into Washington DC during the early 1990’s while MARC was still using refurbished F-units. I believe this may be another one of Francis Baldwins creations. (photo hosted on www.railroadsignals.us)

This is the Port Hope, Ontario VIA Rail station. It is the oldest working train station in all of Canada and is the home of my train club. Those tracks are CN’s and CP has a set about 80 yards north of CN’s.

This is a former C&NW station, located in South Milwaukee, WI

Santa Susana Depot. This is a former Southern Pacific R22 model depot that is located in the city of Simi Valley, CA about 40 miles north of Los Angeles Union Station. The depot sits next to Union Pacific’s coast line. Back in the golden age, the station was located between the Glendale and Oxnard stops on Southern Pacific’s Daylight train. S.P. sold the depot to the city for $1 back in the 1970’s with the understanding that they would move it off the S.P.'s property.

It now sits on park property a couple of miles south of the original location. The building has been restored and there is a museum full of great stuff in what was the former passenger waiting room along with my club’s layout is in the freight room. . We can walk out on the platform and see Union Pacific freights, Amtrak and Metrolink trains go past.

Here is the model of the above referenced depot on our layout.

One of my personal favorites - the UP station at Boise, Idaho:
