STB hearing on TIH or Transport of Hazmat update.

I attended the STB hearing on common carrier status of railroads last week…railroads are petioning the STB to relax rules on Transport of Hazmat so that they are 100% not liable evenwhen they are clearly at fault (poor maintance bad orders bad track ext.)

Really? Where was that hearing held? Odd that no one else has mentioned this.

It’s also odd, that you’ve started two hot-button threads at once, sort of like the ones our re-occuring troll, Trainfinder does. I’m looking forward to your thoughts on The Milwaukee Road, BNSF grain pricing, dirty locomotives, GE vs.EMD,foamers, and Amish farmers shipping from team tracks. Keep us posted.

Careful there, Murph! You might end up shackled in an unmarked box car! [swg]

What about Railroad Retirement felons and “illegal” fuel surcharges. IMHO the late great wheat rate discussion was not about a troll but the old old issue of should economic activities be “fair”.

I just fell back on the old hot-button topics that a trainfinder would be likely to target.[;)] I plum forgot about engineers not waving, and graffitti.

Don’t forget the thread on a CSX stockholder meeting, much like BuyCSXRailroadstock use to do. [tdn]
