I did a quick peek on the board and didnt see it anywhere else, but I found this on RailPictures.net. Looks like the "Chinese Girls " finally made it to the home rail. The power hauling them home apperas to be running long hood foward. Makes ya wonder if they are practicing. [:D]
What amazes me is that is the first picsI have seen of those engines. I figured by now, there would have been lightsof shots from fans hunting them down. Guess they have been to sneaky
I just read off a IAIS e-mail list that when they are tested in freight service, it will be between Bureau, IL and Yocum connection, west of Homestead, IA . There are wyes at both locations. Did not say when this would begin.
Yocum is the connection between the IAIS (exRI) and Crandic (exMILW). If you get of I-80 at the Amana exit ant take US 151 north. Where 151 tees into US 6, that’s Yocum.
I had forgotten about the necessity for turning these things (I almost called them “units”!). I, too, would like to know when they get to the east end of their runs–might be worth a trip out that way.
