Hi all, I got a nice car as my daily drive. As I worked as a pro Airbrush artist, I thought it would be nice to finally paint something on something I own myself… Here is the concept sketches that I plan to use. The first one is the drivers side, I would like to pay homage to my favorite hobby by painting a BIG loco in B/W: Could be nice I think… On the other side of the car, I have this planned: My wife is studying theology and is going to be a priest, so I designed some liturgical theme on this side. What do you think? Will it work with the other side? Thanks for your opinions and inputs.
That is really cool Graffen. The train going past the church reminds me of a trip from Zurich to Venice I took, where we went past the same church three times, each time a little higher.
I take this setup to the Rockies to train watch. How much to do a Selkirk pulling some heavy weights through the Rockies down the side. It would be the show stopper at the campground.[(-D]

Of coarse it will, you can not see both sides of the car at the same time anyway.
Truck.
I haven’t seen it in quite a few years but back around the turn of the century before I relocated from one side of this valley to the other I used to encounter a Ford-somethingorother-SUV decked out in SP Daylight livery. He didn’t have any grafics on it but it was obviously not a fromthefactory paint scheme.
Thanks all for commenting! I would love to see a Selkirk on that! But I guess my travel expenses would be somewhat prohibitive…

Hey Brent, I thought I was looking at my trailer for a second. Jayflight G2 29 BHS. 2008, what year is yours?
Graffen, nice looking design. Would be very interesting to see the finished product.

Hi Dan
It’s a 2007. We saw it for sale in February of 2011. It was essentially unused. A retired couple bought it in Langley, took it home to Chilliwack where he parked it in a heated out building on his farm. His wife past away before they ever used it. Three years later the man also past away having never used it or even put any personal belongings in it. Upon his death his daughter had it towed to her place at Harrison Hot Springs. She put it up for sale and we bought it for $14000.00 It had 50 miles on it. The little rubber bits you see on new tires were still there. It still had that new trailer smell!
That truck of mine with its 7.3 LTR Diesel was perfect to tow it with. It’s a 100KPH all the way up that 11% grade through the Coquilhalla Snowshed. It doesn’t even know the trailer is back there.
Maybe if I pay for Graffens airfare to Vancouver and take him train watching in the Rockies he’ll do my mural for me.[(-D]

Graffen,
Your post has brought back some unpleasant memories.
Quite a few years ago I bought my son his first car, a used one.
A few days after the purchase the previous owner called and said the car didn’t look like the one he had traded in. Soon I found out why.
Every time the car was washed paint dings showed up.
The dealer had air brushed over them.
Hey, your scenes look great and will no doubt be washable.
Bob
Hello Thats cool. If you do paint it and drive it daily I am sure you will get a lot more work. Have a nice day Frank
