which one?
Diesel Freight
^ yep
Can I vote all the above?
The wonderful sound of F units growling past pulling a long freight. What could be better.
All the above here as well.

Steam, The only choice!
Oh my how some are delusional[;)]

I have units in all four types.I presently run diesel freight(pair of DD40AX,SD70,AC4400) as they’re my only decoder equipped units but the rest of my roster(pair of SD45,SD50,SD90,Challenger,Mallet,Mikado and other steamers) will be used as soon as my budget allows me to convert them to DCC.
I love my Athearn F7s and Proto 2000 E8s
diesel frieght
AMTRAK E unit’s and misc. freight.
Give me a 4-8-8-4 Big Boy pulling a long mixed freight anyday.
I run diesel freight although I do have one ATSF Steam excursion train I run when the spirit moves me
Six Berkshires, two Mikados and a consolidation all simmering away on the ready tracks next to a 400-ton coal dock, waiting for three 0-8-0s to assemble their trains, which are currently waiting for a Mike to bring a train onto track #2, while a meat reefer block heads out of track #1, pulled by two Berkshires.
That’s what my main yard will look like once the track gangs get that far. I think I’ll have to vote steam freight!
I run all of them, but prefer the appearance of a pair of Dash-8’s pulling a long freight.
YA ok Fergie! [;)]

Steam freight. And to a lesser extent, steam passenger.
Diesel freight,is anythig better than GP9’s on a local freight? NOPE!!
Steam engines pulling fluted side passenger cars. Works for me!
Alvie.
Steam passenger service is utterly stunning in every respect.
Having said that, I love stream freight, and diesel freight, and diesel passenger. I LOVE TRAINS!!!
