My brother in law … being a very long time brass engine builder wants me to pull my Williams cab forward out of storage and add steam engine sounds to it and do some super detailing additions . Has anyone done either ? I’m not worried about tmcc … but the steam engines sounds would be great . He says I could add a sound board to my tender and achieve this . Is this true … and which one ? I am extremely leary … I worship that ole baby … if any of you have done this please help . I’d also need any links to highly detailed pics of the cab forward with all the trimmings … actual engines … if possible .
For adding sounds check out Electric Railroad’s site, www.electricrr.com , never did one but they have the stuff you’ll need as well as on-line sound samples and instructions.
If you “google” the California Railroad Museum they should have some photos on line, believe they one on their roster.
GREAT … that’s just what I was looking for ! Enough … but not too much … at a low price yet ! Thanks millions for that link … did’nt want all that crew talk and etc. I have that on another engine and believe me one is enough … LOL .
Ole Timer…check out this link. Pictures of every cab forward ever built. Might be helpful…

Chuck, Great link ! [tup]
Great Chuck … another note … Ma and Pa Junction is near me and has all the boards … and does installs . Has anyone had any dealings with them ? Are they reputable ? I love my brother - in law dearly but … [?] if he’d fry my cab forward electronics …
Ma & Pa Junction has always treated me good. Marty is a very fair and honest guy. Just my opinion. I wish they were near me.

He said it looks ALOT better than the lionmaster by lionel cab forwards ! … and she’s brass … made my day … LOL .
