Got yet another one for my Forum friends. What is the best brushable paint to match steel? I have some custom printed resin bases for my street lights. The light poles are supposed to match steel ones and I want to paint the bases to match. As usual, any suggestions would be most welcomed.
I used Folk-Art Steel Grey for my turntable with a thin rust wash.
The Acrylic Crafters paints have 100s of colors.

Growing old is a bummer, aging is definitely not for wimps.
In craft paints, I use “graphite”, which is a dark bluish grey.

Looks like “slate grey” (in the Americana line) to my eye. If it turns out to be too bright, a black wash would tone it down.

A thought that I had given the metal used for the light poles: Could an aluminum color paint match the metal of the actual light poles? I have some Humbrol Aluminum paint on hand that I could use.
