Here’s my next redo project:
The building currently has one track running into it, that holds 3 cars. The plan includes adding another track and extending the mill building to allow each track to hold 4 cars, for 8 cars total inside the mill.

Today, I cleaned up the terrain around the new site, and worked on the mill building extension.
I cut up and rearranged a Pikestuff 2 track engine house kit for the extension. Hopefully, tomorrow I can get the track down, and finish off the remainder of the building.

It’s been a few days, but I got back to my steel mill project. The extension building is painted, the track is down, painted and ballasted, and the basic ground cover is in. The next step is finishing off the building, and constructing it’s foundation, and concrete floor.

Good to see you making progress on your structures. The steel mill building reminds me of some of the mills in the northeastern U.S area, circa 1970s.
Question: I understand that you weathered this, but on the non-windowed panels of the structrue towards the left, am I seeing a letter K, L and some other washed out letters?
I never even noticed the weathering made those letters. [:O]

It’s funny how we’ll notice things in photos that our eyes will normally glance right over when the subject is in front of us. Has happened to me quite a number of times…
Not a big deal, though. Looks like something that can be quickly fixed with some fine grit sandpaper and dull cote or flat clear.
Overall, it’s a good looking industrial structure.
