Steilacoom Washington, a favorite location of mine!

I have a followup to my ‘Change’ topic. A much less controversial subject. Comments appreciated. Take a look at a new spot for me, in one of my favorite photo locations near where I live.

Steve Carter

Steve - I like the shot, but the saturation is a little too much for me. Then again, I never really liked Velvia in the old days, so I guess I tend to go against the grain when it comes to saturation. Beyond that, I like the composition and the reflection works well. Nicely executed.

…Appreciate the photo…very nice. How about the clear water evident close to shore. Just enough being different, I think it is a nice RR photo.

Very nice. After studying the train, I was looking in the rocks - for the fish.

Mookie

No fish were evident while I waited for the train, but there is a nice sized crab shell on the rocks! The rocks in the foreground and a noticable depth of field was the intent of the photo.

It’s a beautiful place, but the day I was there, BNSF was hiding all of their trains…

Man, once I get down there next summer, I am SO THERE.

Omaha, Nebr. - Thursday, 11 Sept. 2008.

Me too!

Great photo, Steve! Too bad there was all that graffiti on the boxcars.
