Stewart (Bowser) Erie Mining F9's ??

According to the MR website’s National Train Show 2008 preliminary report, Bowser/Stewart are going to be coming out with an F9 A/B set, decorated for Erie Mining Company:

Scroll down to sixth paragraph.

However, a few days before that was posted, I got an e-mail from First Hobbies, saying that Bowser/Stewart had decided not to produced the Erie Mining Co. F9 A/B set that I had pre-ordered quite a while ago when it was first announced.

So…anybody know what’s up?? Why would they annouce it like a year ago, then cancel it and at the same time announce it again??

Your e-mail and the announcement was probably just a coincidence…

Chances are Stewart didn’t want to produce the announced Erie F9s a year or so back because they had plans of making highly detailed models of F units in the future (yes, I remember when they were secretly announced and when they dissapeared about 2 years ago…)

We’ll have to see what happens in the future. I would love to get 2 A-B sets of them, and hopefully a add-on B unit (if ever produced) to make a authentic LTV/CE/EM consist.

Just a note for you Erie Minning F-9 fans. They are back in operation. Check the news for last week on Trains.
