Found these at the Ben Franklin craft shop. They woud make good reeds, or small sticks for dio’s. Only $.99 for the bag. So it pays to check out the craft shops.

Yes, craft or fabric/craft shops have lots and lots of things that can be used for MRR scenery. One may have to hunt and poke and really study all the offerings with an inventive scale eye.
I wanted flowers for a flower box on my HO house, so I studied the artificial flowers to find the ones with little tiny beads or flowers parts on them that could be clipped out individual and be of about a scale flower. {I know I can buy flower sets from Walthers, but cheaper and more fun to find them at AC Moore of Michael’s.}
I also wanted some bacds to go around a drum, and found jewelry rings the right size. Glued to the round canister I was using for the drum and painted you wouldn’t know what the bands were originally.
Many MRRs find their craft paints to be as good or better and in larger cheaper quantities at the craft stores.
Check often as seasonal stock always brings new and different things that can be amazing in MRRing!
I don’t know about Ben Franklin shops, but AC Moore and Michaels often have 40% 0r 50% off one regular priced item coupons in the sunday papers, so one can get even a better bargain!
