Ok so I installed a whole sound decoder board in my Athearn Dash 9, but some thing is wrong!
It makes a low grinding noise.
It jerks when moving in both directions.
It keeps powering down for a second and restarting.
The jerking happins when it is not loosing power.
Any ideas this time?

What brand of sound decoder? Solder in or plug in? It sounds like you might have some wires tangled up in a drive shaft or rubbing on a flywheel. Take the shell off and see how it runs without it, and watch for places where the decoder, speaker, or wires might be rubbing on moving parts.
That sounds like dirty track, or poor connections.
