Still having O22 Switch problems.

Ok, I’ll keep this simple. I have a spastic O22. I downloaded the instructions posted by a fellow user (Thanks Again), and no improvement. The fiber pins are where they should be. The switches mate works fine. Although if i swap their positions the bad one continues to “misbehave.” Basically if the switch has any power touched to either side of the Y it trashes the movable piece (Frog?) back and forth rapidly. If power is only introduced to the straight in end. It works as it should. It will not work at all with the voltage plug installed and properly hooked up. Is this an easy fix or should i return it for another. It is vintage.

Here’s a wild guess: Someone has rewired it to use the internal switch that normally disconnects the control rails, instead to route voltage to the two track outlets, to power sidings according to which way the turnout is set. There are several possibilities for how this might have been done–if it was done.

(The thing that moves is the points. The frog is the place where the outside rails cross each other.)
