Still looking

Found Skeets, but still looking for IronKen and Jackflash!

Are you out there anywhere?

Jen

Maybe I should have played hard to get, too! ([sigh…] I always was a sucker for a , er, what did you say you drive, a '46 Nash? No, that’s it! Sucker for a girl who drives a Studebaker! Man, what a fox!

You drive a stoody!!
I had a 49 for awhile.

NO NO Skeets - I said I was a fox driving a Cadillac with a Studebaker hood ornament!!! [:D]

Jen

…I thought a '49 -50 Studebaker was likened to a cornpicker. Seriously, the '47 Studebaker was a good looking car, too bad they screwed it up in later years. I know one had to go on a waiting list when they first hit the market…One of first post war cars to make major overhaul on design.

Was there a Studebaker called a Tiger? Or do I have that confused with another look-alike car?

Jen

…No Studebaker Tiger to my memory.

Jen,
Way back, Sunbeam tossed a small block Ford V8 in an Alpine and called it a Tiger. Helluva neat little roadster critter.
My daughter wanted one, but settled for a Challenger convert. Only similarity is the rag top.

Lowell - Was that a UP Challenger? That would be my pick!!!

QM - how about a tigershark? Would have been late 50’s early 60’s? Possibly not a Studebaker, but does that name ring any bells?

Jen

Found Jackflash on another thread - still looking for Ironken!

Or maybe you WERE driving a '46 Nash and knew someone who had a Cadillac! Studebaker in their last years, made a hot looking car; I want to say “Avonte”, which was designed by Raymond Loewy (GG1). The car nuts will set me straight.

obviously Raymond Lowey had his fingers in the design of quite a few things [8D]

How about Shelby’s neat little trick with the AC roadster, and the Ford 429?
Does Cobra ring a bell?[8D]
Need one, want one, please?
Stay Frosty, Ed

that was a 427 in the AC Cobra, but Ford had a 429 Cobra Jet engine

The comedian Jackie Mason was pulled over in his Shelby Cobra by California’s finest. When asked if he realized he was doing over 100 mph, Jackie said, “I’m sorry officer, I was down in the engine room.” (probably got written up anyway.)
