Stop signs on stepwells

I have noticed little stop signs on stepwells of modern diesel locomotives. I can clearly make out the word “Stop” but there is some other writing below it. Does anybody know what it is and if a decal is available?

Mario, I’ve not noticed them myself, but an uneducated guess would be that they are a company safety sign. It may read something like: “Stop-be safe, this train is in your hands”. Something along those lines maybe???

They are a reminder to all employees to stop the train or engine before they get on and off. New rules make boarding or disembarking any moving equipment a dismissable offense.

Ah… Thanks for the clarification guys.

Hoo, boy, is that rule ignored – or is it something new that hasn’t had tiime to make its way down the chain of command to the locomotive crews yet?
