Kinda wondering what these might be used for; they’re parked for the weekend
off a main line that’s been having both track & signal rehab done to it.
The first one appears to be a 60’ insulated box car with a “roll-up” door,in lieu
of the plug door. The other one,containers on a spine car??
They look to me, like the railroad equivilent of a contractor’s tool trailer.
They are MoW tool and material storage cars.

Thanks Nick,I had a feeling that’s what they were from the
car numbers;just wanted to ask.(90…)
There were a couple of other cars with them that were a bit
easier to figure out.

yep csx tool cars saw alot of them this past year around deshler.they also had some L&N ,B&O and C&O labled cars to go with them.they also had flat car after flat car of mow equipment too.
