Strange dcc address problem

Was wondering if anybody has experienced a dcc problem which occured during operation. The problem is when I entered a single loco 4 digit address on my digitrax zephyr it made a set of mued locos also run. The single loco was not mued to the consist and never has been. If anyone has a solution or answer please help.

Thanks,

What was the consist address and the 4-digit loco address?

I’m thinking that the lower byte (8 bits of data) of the 4-digit address might have matched the consist address.

Also, who made all the different decoders? There are some differences in interpretation of some of the standards between manufacturers.

Some DCC systems recommendation that a consist address be only within the range of 4 through 99, and that long addresses not be used for a consist because of possible problems with a consist and locomotive address being the same.

Is it possible one of the locos in the MU consist has the same address as the single loco. With my Lenz system, if I enter the address of any loco in the MU, the entire MU consist will respond to any commands I enter.
