As some of you may or may not know, I am making tutorials on my website.
What my request is is this. If anyone has an old cam corder they don’t want, I would appreciate it so I can make videos of what I am doing and post them for others.
It can even be as old as one of those old VHS camcorder. I am not picky and I am not making TV quality videos, just so long at it is NTCS [that’s north american] and not PAL [that’s european format], also that it works. I only want to show how to do things easier for beginners and old timers alike.
I have no intention of charging for these either.
Ok well just thought you might want to know that someone nearby gave me a sony camcorder. I was hoping it would be a model RR but it was not to be. Anyhow, as soon as I can afford tapes [or get some for free? ] I will be shooting video tutorials if any one is interested.
Considering this post got over 100 views and no comments though. I wonder…
I think it is a great idea. I wish you well. Keep in mind coverting that format to digital will involve a great deal of storage and to get it to something that will work across dial-up of low bandwidth connection will be tough. I assume you will provide these videos at your site. Good luck and it is quite noble to provide this for free. Peter
Yes Stephan, I am not only interested but as a fellow Canadian, would like to link to your site`s info pages. The free posters were great and would help people to make their structures come alive.
Peter yeah I have several gigabytes of space, so no worries there
And yes I will be providing these videos on my website. I will be asking broadband users for help in a week or so when I upload some, just to see how or even if they work. After that the sky’s the limit.
David thanks a lot, I appreciate that. I will be looking at your website later [probably after supper:)].
If you print out the poster, then let them dry for a day, now soak them in water [try only one at first just in case] and slllooowwwlllyy peal off the back of the paper. If you can do it, you are trying to split the paper to make it thinner.
If that doesn’t work, then lightly sand the BACK side [not the photo side] of the paper until the paper is thinner. Next you apply the thinner paper to the structure and it will conform to the boards or brick much better. After you adhere it to the building, you can sand it very lightly to further make it look old and worn. I hope that helps you out.
