STRASBURG RR ON TONIGHT

I got my autistic son to watch it. I have been trying to get him to go to Strausburg and so I told him it would be about Strausburg.

Although he liked the steamers nad he wants to go, he liked the bullet train and the crashes and building the trains in the shop and the magnetics.

It was a great success.

i don’t think that was a new show. i seem to remember the part about the canal locos and the mag levs. also too much naration, music was too loud and too much of their creative photographic crap. switched back to fox news alot. glad i didn’t tape it. better off buying a train video of your favorite railroad or locomotive.

The “Locomotives” show on the History Channel. 7-8pm CDT

I’m not saying I didn’t enjoy it just that it was too short.

That was pretty much a new show, or at least portions of previously shot stuff that we haven’t seen. It may LOOK reminiscent of previous stuff, but that’s about it. HC has shown maglevs and canal donkeys before, just not this footage. I really didn’t like the American version of the maglev. Anybody notice how bumpy and shaky it looked? I mean, even the Strasburg steam runs smoother.
BTW, people have wondered about the relationship between Strasburg and the museum across the street. When the museum needs rolling stock moved, they’ll have someone from Strasburg come over and move it, because there’s no licensed engineers at the museum (or at least there didn’t use to be a couple of years ago).

The production date in the guide said 2008.

The museum has there own locomotive and locomotive engineer that they use to move rolling stock around the engineer at the museum works in the restoration shop and is also an engineer on the Strasburg Rail Road…part time…
