Can anyone help me locate info on a streamline passenager steam engine #6302. I know it traveled through Sarnia, Ont. on to maybe Chicago, Ill. Looking for a picture or any info.
Thanks for your help. My father is a retired RR engineer of 46 years. This was one of his favorite engines. Thought I would brighten his day with a picture!
The locomotive you are thinking about is a Grand Trunk Western streamlined 4-8-4. Both Canadian National and Grand Trunk Western had a series of streamlined 4-8-4’s which they used to pull the “International Limited” between Chicago and Toronto, so you certainly would have seen it at Sarnia. Suggest you try under the “Historical Society” groups here and look under GTW and CN.
