Stripping BLI diesels

Has anyone out there had any success stripping a BLI NW2 shell. I tried stripping one with brake fluid and it took so long to soften the paint that it dried the plastic out and made it brittle, but it still didn’t remove all the paint. I was going to try Pine sole but I’ve had lousey luck with it. It usually does the same. I’ve never had a problem with brake fluid before. Anyone strip a BLI shell? If so what did you use?

You should try heavy duty oven cleaner, but some manufactures bake the paint after spraying and it’s impossible to completely strip. Kato is one I’m not sure about BLI.

before I’d put this away as can’t be done I’d visit a hobby shop if possible and try a commercial paint remover. If the lhs visit is not possible then I’d look at the on line shops for paint removers. They don’t cost all that much and over the years I’ve found them to be worth trying, after the garage and oven and cleaning closet stuff has been tried and found lacking.

Push comes to shove. Laquer thinner (see hardware store). Just be careful not to strip the plastic underneath as well. work in small areas with a Q-tip( good for soaking, not taking up), and an old rag(will take paint).
