Has anyone out there tried to strip the paint off of an Atlas Classic or Stewart locomotive? If so what have you used to do it. In the past I have used Scalecoat stripper but I had an Atlas rs-3 shell crumble to pieces after leaving it in the stripper over night.

95% Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) is reported to be good for stripping Atlas current production shells. Soak the shell for about 48 hours and it should come pretty clean.
IPA can be found at any well stocked drugstore.
