Hi PJ,
I always try to find inexpensive sources for hobby supplies…I’m tired of going to hobby shops and paying a rediculous price for something that has been “re-packaged” for hobby shop distribution. A perfect example is styrene.

I went to a local company here in Newington, Connecticut called “Industrial Safety & Supply Co., Inc.” and they sold me a sheet of .060 styrene, 40x72 inches, for $14.00. I needed a big sheet because I like to save the walls from the backs of my structures for custom building new structures and I replace those backs, which won’t be seen anyway, with plain styrene.

You could give them a call and see if they will sell you a sheet and ship it rolled up in a tube. Their phone number is 1-800-243-2316. They may have a minimum purchase requirement so you may want to consider their .080 sheet of styrene which costs $20.50 a sheet.

While I was there, I also bought a great respirator for when I spray and some safety glasses.

Hope this helps.
