Have fun!!!
Jim
We are back outside setting up the Garden RR. Here are photos from last year. We are still moving dirt today.
I’ve always liked the circus trains. Just one shot from me.
On occasion I have picked up a few pieces of repainted prewar Flyer equipment. This is a set I aquired recently.
What if Flyer had decided to make an O Gauge version of their 1927 Wide Gauge President’s Special. It might have looked something like this:
If Flyer had produced something like this it would have been pretty impressive. Someone used a set of 3200 passenger cars (typically a Golden State set) and repainted them in a color close to Flyer’s Cadet Blue. One day I might be able to find some of the signs to finish it off.

Afternoon All…
Sweet photos as always. [tup]
Very quiet and slow day at the museum yesterday, I ran both upper level lines.
Blue Line, Woodside reefers pulled by either a D&H Challenger with relief by a Southern FM.
Black Line, Rock Island E-3AA and Passenger cars sharing the rails with a Chessie GP-15 and 4 bay coal hoppers.
Even a specially ordered flat was seen making a delivery which was greatly appreciated.

Looks yummy, Doug! Nice pics, guys. We took the in-laws to the train station in Kirkwood, MO. Here are some pics from the area I thought I would share.
This is a store right by the station - only a couple plastic Thomas toys, the rest is Vera Bradley and boutique stuff [:(] The store includes a real caboose addition.
Here’s the Kirkwood station:
And a couple pics of a passing UP freight for Kurt:
We had our track inspection today for the Gardern Railroad…waiting to see if we passed.
Great pics everyone!
Been working on my new layout and noticed a change in Lionel fastrack from the Menard’s set and the
fastrack I have from my other starter sets. Don’t know if it is a design change or not. It does not seem to alter the sound at all.

Great Photo! Can you tell me why you went to a garden rail system, after being so heavily invested in O-gauge? I’m contemplating moving outdoors, but may try the O-gauge route, but don’t I see too many of these, so I’m skeptical.
Kurt
Jim, what is the object in your fourth photo?
Kurt, I have experimented with O gauge outdoors - I’ve never thought about a permanent layout. I ran a battery-powered K-Line set with a remote control. No wiring!
Buckeye, That crew has been really busy, they were out working our shortline last week. Hope they weren’t to winded by the time they made it to your place. [:D]
Kurt, There is quite a lot of “O” gauge in the great outdoors, although it does require more care and maintenance then the “G” requires. Not to promote another site but do a search for “outdoor O” in the 3rail section at OGR,you’ll be amazed at what you will find. [tup]
It is a #15 Dierectronic Rectifier. It changes AC to DC for DC operation of trains and accesories. I tested it the other day on a DC trolley I am working on. When it is done I’ll post pics of it.
Jim
Every summr I give my O gauge to Chuck and buy G Scale and set up the layout outside. In the fall I do the reverse, I give the G scale to Chuck and buy new O gauge and create the big layout you have seen in previous photos. [(-D]
Not that you mention it, I wonder what Chuck does with all that stuff. [%-)]+
Edit: With a rating like this, why are we posting in photos?

Buckeye - makes you wonder what’s not to like in this thread!
Some people are just hard to please! [;)]
Keep posting pics… I wouldn’t concern myself with ratings!
Wow, Jim, that is sure one cool piece of equipment. I have been tempted by the outdoor bug - we have St. Aubin’s Station - a big G scale vendor - just a few miles away.
Oops did I hurt someone’s feelings, did not mean too. I think that was the first time I ever pushed the rate button and rated a thread. But at least I got my name posted on a thread, that’s a first.
Buckeye…I give a lot of your trains to CHIEF. He repaints them in NS livery. LOL
Anyone who does not like our pictures, is welcome to post some of his. Strange people.

Doug…Outdoors is much easier than indoor.
