Subscription black hole

I have for many years bought CTT from local hobby shops, even as Kalmbach blocked the webcam, Trains news, and other website features, apparently to punish me for not subscribing. I did this out of a desire to support the shops. With the announcement of the imminent closing of the last shop in town, I finally filled out and mailed in one of those cards from the magazine. It’s been a while now, and the latest issue I have is still November. No magazines, no bill, no acknowledgement of any kind. Can anyone at CTT fix this situation?

By the way, assuming that my subscription can be put back on track, how will the website ever know that I am a subscriber?

Bob I believe if you goto page 9 of the november issue of CTT you can find the number under need help its 1-800-533-6644 8:30 - 5 P.M. central time you can get this all straighten out super quick I’ve called them before and there very nice folks there.

( they love credit card numbers [:-^])

Hope this helps and you start getting them again

Thanks. I’ll give that a try on Monday.

There’s a link above your login that says Help - Contact Us - Customer Service too. At least it’s easy to renew on the website - your account shows what you’re subscribed to - and their renewal dates.

Not necessarily true. I subscribe to CTT and just recently renewed for another year and it does not indicate on my account that I’m a subscriber. I’m blocked from seeing the special benefits. An email was sent to CTT in this regard.

Ken

I did call Kalmbach yesterday. I got a very helpful representative, who assured me that they had received my card, changed the subscription to start with December, and accepted a credit-card number. Very satisfactory.

Bob, that is a special way they treat TEXICANS. [:-^]

I got the January issue today; and I find that I can indeed get to the subscriber content, including the webcams, which I have missed. But, alas, I cannot read the Trains news postings, which I had hoped were included.

Got a response to my email on Monday and the problem was fixed that evening. Now I’m enjoying the extras

Super Service!!!

Bob,
To see the Trains newswire, you’d need to be a subscriber to Trains, just as a Trains subscriber would need to subscribe to CTT to see our subscriber-only content. If you ARE a subscriber to Trains and still can’t see the newswire, contact customer service.

Well, I found that at least I can read the headlines, and then Google the stories in other publications!

I had some problems… My Fault of course but I talked to a great customer service rep and it was fixed in a day. Just give them a call, nicest service Ive had.
