Always nice to have the backing of the other half. Whether it is just letting us do our thing or to as much as being a full partner in the hobby, beats having to justify all the time.

Well she’s smart in doing so. Rather have you reading MR and playing w/ trains instead you may end up in another hobby like shooting pool at the bar while you do the 12oz curls!!!
My wife´s birthday is on the day before Valentine´s Day, that means tough luck for her [:-,] - and me, too. Our financial situation does not allow for any other present than the smallest little gift - I don´t mean those little pressed carbon thingies. I will make breakfast for her, work down the HD list and may even be able to sneak in a small bouquet of flowers.
I’ve got a Brother who wants to marry a girl that’s birthday is on valtines along with their annivessery. As he says" might as well get three big occasions knocked off at the same time" i wonder about him somtimes…
I work with a guy that did that. He has to get 3 gifts because that is what his wife expects.
Two words: “Rubber Crutch”. And maybe two more: “Soup Sandwich”.
Well, you could also combine the two hobbies…
