I have a suggestion for prizes for the next contest CTT runs: a set of CTT binders. Not the mags, too, just the binders.
I have a complete set of CTT but no binders, and enough binders for all of them would swallow my train budget for most of the year. How about making a set (or sets!) a prize in next year’s contest so that those of us in this boat can try to win them?
The binders would definately be a prize worth obtaining. While I don’t have every issue, I have more than I can access easily. Going a step further, could they, the circulation dept., make a “first- class” subscription rate that would include a binder and index each year?
Mail the index and binder with the last magazine for the year to save a few cents on postage, and possibly throw in an old copy of another magazine as a teaser, or to reduce overstock, and everyone’s happy.
having more magazines then i know what to do with, i came up with an idea that is both economical and easy. i get 2" - 3" binders with clear plasic protectorsand put each year into its own binder in order. I do with for ctt, ogr, mr and trains. it keeps the magazines in good condition, makes them easy to find and keeps things neat. i have about 15 bindrs at this time and it works for me…just a thought!
I took 2-3" white binders and divided it up into sections along with those plastic page protectors. Then I sat down and used a utility knife and cut out what I wanted to keep.Wala! 3-5 yrs in just 2 binders and I can carry them to work and flip to the section I want instantly!!
No offense to the advertisers, but I dont need years of the same advertisments, the good ones you remember!!
