I recently changed ISP’s so I lost my old train web site. Can anyone suggest a free service that’s simple to use? The last one I built used Trelix site builder tools and that was pretty EZ. Don’t really want something like Yahoo that takes a third of your page for ads. Banners at the top or bottom would be fine. Train related hosting would be great!
Thanks
While a bit limiting in coding Google Pages is free and offers 100 MB of storage. Just sign up for a free gmail email account then log in and begin. It has many free templates too.
Google Page Creator
I once tried this website:
www.piczo.com
Easy and free of charge. The website automatically puts piczo in the site name. I have since deleted mine. It also has some tutorial pages. It is more aimed at teenagers rather than everyone though…
Loathar,
Do you have copies of your previous pages or do you need to rebuild them from scratch?

Dallas-No.[V] Earthlink zapped it from existance before I could save a copy. I was going to redo it anyhow.
Well, i dunno what you are defining as ‘easy to use’ but www.hyperphp.com is a regular charge for hosting company that has its low end package completely free. 100% control, no ads, 250MB space, 6GB monthly transfer, PHP, MySQL, POP email accounts, Subdomains… Pretty full featured for a free account. Plus it comes with the following “instant Install softwares” :

We’ve been contemplating adding free space for modellers or clubs on our server space but there wouldn’t be any software available; you’d have to build your site separately and then upload it via FTP.
Not quite sure what we’d be getting into there though…[:)]
What kinda bandwidth/month is your site sitting on Craig?
It’s scalable - we can use what we want. Right now it’s set at around 500-600 GB monthly, I think.
We’re currently redesigning the site, though, and that will be live in a month to 6 weeks (I hope!).
