Hello all, I have been working on some scenery on the steep mountain slope and would like your suggestions as far as the colors and if I am getting to mush or do I need some more.

I just threw this one in. This is Traintown at night.

Thanks for all your suggestions and/or opinions. Mike
Mike,
I think you pretty much nailed it. Looks like a good balance of trees & shrubs on the landscape. Very nice. That’s a nice night scene as well.

Wow! Mike your scenery looks great. I especially like your night scene. I’ll be looking forward to seeing more of your work in the near future. Thanks again for sharing.
I think it looks great, Mike. It looks real, which is our whole intent. Your use of trees in the corner on top of the hill is an effective way to help mask the fact that there’s a corner there. And the expanses of dirt hillsides that have vegetation further up helps to draw the eye down to the track, where it should be. Great night scene, too, I’m a big believer in illumination and use it a lot on my layout.
You are really developing the touch. The Cassidy Grain elevator scene is very nice. It turns out you didn’t have to do much to the trees at all to make them look good. The night scene, of couse, is spectacular and represents a lot of work and imagination to even lay it out. I am getting to look forward to your latest posting.
Thanks
The airplane in the second pictures really adds a lot.
Mike, that looks VERY nice. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
Mike take a bow!!![bow][bow][bow]
You got it down I think.[:D][8D][:I][:D]
A great big THANK YOU to every one that responded I have never got so many good opinions on any of my post! It really makes me feel good about my scenery, especially after all the trouble I had on doing my trees. It is really good to know that I finally got it right. Will use spray bottle with a mixture of glue and water today and start on something elese. The train really looks good rolling along on a layout that has the colors right. Makes a big difference I’m learning. Thanks again Mike
Mike,
I think you’ve got it right. I look forward to seeing more.
