I bougth some 2 by 3 for my lay out. I am starting it tommarow.
Lay out consist of 6 by 16. i am going with the new lionel fast track system because
i have a lot of it. Does any know if their is any good track plains for fast track.
I looked at thor web site didn’t see any thing i like. can you guy suggest anything[:D]
I’ve looked at the fasttrack - though I’m a confirmed tubular 027 man myself - isn’t it essentially 031? Any of Thor’s track plans for ‘regular’ O would work.
FastTrack has minimum 36" radius. I’m about to begin a layout myself and although I’ve accumulated a lot of FasTrack from sets, and I like it, high cost and lack of smaller radius have made me decide to go with O27 tubular track. I want to have 3 separate loops, one inside the other. O27 track makes that a possibility. If only it came in 31" radius . . .

Thanks cnw1995 for the info.
I didn’t see any thing i liked on that site.
I am going to look in the old CTT for some track plans. I like the track plans from the toy train track plans.
The reason i don’t like the track plans from that site is because i have to add 3 bridges to the lay out about 3 feet long. The 3 feet is because of a door way that leades into the other side of the basement.
thanks again jack
CTT has just issued a new book called “Creative Toy Train Track Plans”. I [picked up a copy over the weekend. It is excellent - you can tweak a number of these to the size you describe.
RRTrack has a library of sample FasTrack plans. I think it costs $19. You can use bits and pieces to design your track plan.
Good Luck…

Jim,
while it’s not 31", Marx made a wide radius curve which is 34" diameter, I think. The pieces I’ve found were pretty worn (read as, I won’t run my diecast, heavy, GG1 on it), but perhaps better sections in better condition might fill the void.
