Summit USA HO scale strip mall structure kit
I found the website for this company last night, just lucky look up on google. I wish more Co. would make modern buildings like this…Let alone make them in “N” scale!!! I have twice the area to fill than the normal HO guy but I seem to have about a 1/4 or less to fill it with…Cornerstone makes some nice stuff but nothing modern for “N” and were are all the “N” cars??? So I hope you Manufactures are looking and reading this…somthing a little post 1965 would be great!!!
This looks like a great kit. I plan on purchasing it in the future. My railroad is CSX/NS in Appalachia. I will have to do research to see which stores will fit my modern railroad. We need more kits like this in HO. I don’t mind paying the price for a good quality kit. We are living in a time where model railroader’s have the best of the best.
Although I Prefer To Model The '59-60 Era, The Summit Strip Mall Will Look Great On Nearly Any Post 1980 Era Pike!! As With Most Real Life Cities and Towns,You’ll Find A Mixture Of Both Older and Newer Buildings; So Summit Models Convience Store;Taco Bell;Hotel and Strip Mall;Along With Walthers Interstate Oil Gas Station Will Look Good along With A Smattering Of DPM;Smalltown USA;SS Ltd and Walthers Older Buildings To Produce A Prototypical Small Town On A 80’s On Up Era Pike. A Few Suggestions:Why Not Have An"Old Town"Section Of Your Layout??Take A Few Woodland Scenics;Blair Line;etal.Older Buildings and Have Them On One Side Of The Tracks While On The Other Side Have The Summit Taco Bell;Convience Store;etc… Also With Older Buildings Being Used For New Purposes;Walthers Al’s Victory Service;City Classics and Bachmann’s Service Stations; There Are Quite A Lot Of Purposes For Them In The 21st Century!! Remove The Pumps and Reletter and Repaint Them For A Regular Garage or a Tire Repair Shop. Also Why Not Use One As A Flea Market or Restraunt or Night Club?? Retain The Pumps and Park A Few Vintage Autos Around It and Have A Car Museum or Speed Shop!! Anyway,I’m Getting Ahead Of Myself!!In Closing,It’s A Very Good Model For Modelers Of CSX;CR;NS;BNSF;UP and KCS and/or Other Regional/Shortline Railroads That Have Sprung Up sincve The 80’s.
WOW! It’s about time somebody gave us a place to get the more modern buildings. These can change the aspects of any area on your layout. I can see a change in Caltett Valley already!
man after seeing some of these buldings, it really wants to make me remodel a section of my h.o. scale layout to make it a little more modern.
I love these buildings, please make them availble in O scale.
great looking kit…too bad it is HO, I would like to have a kit like this on my N-Scale layout. STAN
It’s a great looking kit. Be nice in N scale and o scale. we well have to wait and see??
I’m with Eric—let’s have some of this new stuff made in “N”.
If N gauge received the same support as HO does from manufacturers, then the percentage of N gauge users would increase dramatically. So often new structures are only available in HO. Likewise, many other scale dependant items.
Great building i need one for my H.O but it benice to have one for G scale to
This is a definite must have for my modern day CP RAIL layout, I will be purchasing it as soon as I can find one. The others are right-there are too few modern buildings available.
I haven’t bought this kit yet, but have very good experience with the Motel and ex-Dennys. These kits are just like they are in real life, and reminds me of good trips to the USA!
This is a definate must for my future layout based on the CN/CP/VIA in moddern day Toronto. Soon to be built in the Fall
i could use this on my future layot. It adds lots of realisum to a layot
Another vote for making this model available in N scale. I would definitely buy this quality strip mall for my modern 10’ x 12’ shelf N scale layout.
