Could someone tell me the averge dimensions of the sun shades or vizers that are put above the windows an a deisel or steam loco. I’m sure the lengths very depending on window size but what about the width of the shade. Thanks…Jamie
Hi Jamie, Don’t know about diesels as I don’t have any anymore but Detail Associates makes sunshades to fit the cab windows on diesels.
On steam engines they extend just slightly beyond the width of the window by an inch or two on each side and are 12" wide. Just measured a couple of models to be sure… Hope this helped…Vic
Thanks Vic. I have some lithographic aluminum that I was going to cut some out of. It’s .005 thick if I remember right. I just needed to know how big to cut it. If it’s any different in size for diesels, I love to hear from you…Jamie
