Here comes the Lionel Conventional Classics Steam freight set, led by big 4-6-4 no 646. What a face! Now for the train she’s hauling. … and like any good freight train, here is the caboose, finishing things up.

Laz, it runs on 2 12 volt car battier in the train, so no voltage to the track.

That looks amazing. I can believe how close the colors match the originals. Are they available off the shelf, or are they custom mixed?

Thanks Jim, I am really pleased how well the paint matched. It is off the shelf Valspar “Summer Leaf” 65082. I have bought a lot of spray paint to find a match for American Flyer light green and this is dead on. It is over a light gray primer. Makes me want to re-paint some earlier projects.

I nearly forgot to thank you guys for taking the time to share your photos with the rest of us. As I said in another thread, my wife actually started to look at your creations along with me.
