On another thread about small layouts someone asked for a “distant” shot of the layout, where here it is all 5 1/2 x 9 1/2 feet of it.

Here’s a couple shots of dbaker48’s CPI car No. 9678, as it gets pulled into the siding for distribution:
HHhhmmmmmm…wunder which one of these gadgets opens the hood.

According to the FRA, the tunnels on the B.O.W. RR needed to be inspected, so the Baltimore, Ohio and Wabash Railroad contracted with the Sodor Island Railways for the inspection.
Needless to say, it was an expensive inspection and they didn’t find anything. Complaints to the Roger’s Corners Town Marshall increased tenfold while they were in town. Coincidence? I don’t think so! After they left, women and children were allowed back on the streets.
Work continues on the Museums large hi-rail layout. Most of the track is now down on the first leg.
And the Command Center
our target is to have the three main lines up and running on all three legs of the E layout in the next two weeks.
Stugeon-just what is the current population of your great town?!? Spankybird-the construction pics have been great. Its really going to be fantastic. Kurt, I like the batmobile. Buckeye, I’m glad things are quiet again in Roger’s Corners. Here are two shots of a couple of prewar electrics, the 253 and 254e. I picked up a 252 electric this weekend and some 600 series passenger cars. Hopefully I will have some pictures next week to share.
Friday was a busy day at the SD3Railers layout, I had a wide assortment of diesels and rolling stock making the rounds:
The sleek and speedy:
to the long and powerful:
to the petite and whimsical:
And last but not least my first attempt at scratch building a structure:
Not totally satisfied so there mite be some adjustments made shortly.
Have a few more but will wait til later instead of one massive amount of space.
Another small one…6’ x 7’
For some prewar goodies that the better half had gotten for me awhile back:
All are in need of some work in various degrees but it will keep me off the streets for awhile. [:D]
HI GUYS
I LIKE SUNDAY PHOTO FUN . SEEING WHAT OTHER MODELERS ARE DOING . GETTING NEW WAYS OF CREATING THERE LITTLE WORLDS . I HAVE ADDED A STREET CAR TO MY LAYOUT.
Something a little different has been the focus of my effort for a couple of weeks now:
And I will be a happy guy if I ever get it all done . . .
Great photos guys. Love that prewar stuff, but have too little of it.
Frank53, that is about the looks of my wiring, but 10X worse on my end.
Thanks for sharing.
Dennis
Is anyone having trouble copying img codes from Photobucket today? I have 5 wonderful pics I’d like to post, they uploaded just fine but now it won’t allow me to copy the image urls, frustrating.
Scott Smith
Scott, are we supposed to guess what that is? How about a clue for the clueless! Had I enlarged the pic, before I asked the dumb question, I would have known. [B)]
There are some very nice prewar pictures this week, Roger and Doug, nice stuff.
Here are a few of my PRR work train.
John: That’s a jet snow blower car.
Hope this works.
Received a wonderful box car from PA this week via southern CA, it belongs to John Fullerton and it’s a good one. It seems to fit right in with some of my rolling stock. Enjoy.
I even had a PA yard switcher
Going past the home town water tower
It’s a Williams box car and I really like the weight and construction, not light

That’s a really neat shot through the boxcar Perry.
Don’t have much this week. I had my work train out and about trying out a new light bulb in my searchlight car.
Have a great week everyone
