A couple more Post War locos that have logged in years of service.
Phish - Thank you, Sir.
Bill T.: Nice.
Guess I’ve been living a sheltered “train life” [:I] Can you (or anyone else) tell me a little about the “See-through” engine? As always, many thanks.
This one is by Lionel and is called the Platinum Ghost. It is a conventional AA F-3 diesel with 3 clear Madison passenger cars. I believe it was released by Lionel as a reproduction of the original clear Post War F-3’s that were used by Lionel Salesmens back in the fifties to demonstrate the inner workings of PulMor motors.
It is an interesting set that always brings up some comments from visitors.
Train Fun at Grandpa’s Basement
Nice pics guys - I have seen a clear loco at a local store, used, with a pretty high pricetag on it.
Timboy, something is wrong with your layout. Someone stole your middle rail! [(-D]
Phish, you caught me fishing.
Buckeye, I hate to admitt it, kid looks like his GrandPa.
Fifey, wifey bought pink spray paint to re-paint her birds at the lake house.
Timboy, where was the transformer. Didn’t see it. [;)]
Phish- Love that caboose!
Timboy- Interesting idea!
Bill T.: “Platinum Ghost” One thing, for sure - with my budget, I’ll never have a “ghost-of-a-chance” to ever afford one. Very nice. Thanks for the pictures and reply.
Fife - You are welcome sir
Chief - You recognized the shot!
Tim - The All Aboard panels are a neat idea. The small radais won’t haand the 332, but they are fun. I take the All Aboard panels to train shows. Not many folks have seen them.
Buckeye great looking boy you have there
Thanks for the kudus on the caboose!
Sir James & Kurt playing with some trains on my layout.
This is a Lionel engine house with some paint and weathering done by a friend.

Here is a little video of the fun too:
Great photos everyone. MichRR714: Thanks for the video. I enjoy seeing photos and video of Fastrack layouts since that is what I am using. Also, that is some nice custom work on the engine house. Timboy: That is one clever idea! The only photos I took today were of the of the updates I completed to my benchwork. I posted a few photos in my benchwork post. Joe

That is some layout you have there! Nothing like stepping up to the plate for the first at-bat and swinging for the fence.
