Great display Spanky !

Mmmmm, Beer. [^]

Busy day at the museum friday, lots of visitors. Half of what I took didn’t see the tracks. Made some space for one of our “Kid’s Club” members who was returning home to Japan, spends summer in Sandy Eggo. Also a Kids Club Graduate joined us for the day, mite see him more frequently since he has no friday classes this semester. As has been said many times, they sure grow up far to soon.

Somebody must have had a very serious power & control problem to end up waiting on the platform for a train.

a few old pics

During the summer as a child I remember watching lots of reruns of TV shows (Including the Twilight Zone [alien] ), and waiting for the new season to begin. I’m going to revive the practice a bit here and post photos of some of the Flyer Wide Gauge motive power that I have posted previously. Toy Train season officially starts after Labor Day doesn’t it?

4678 from the Hamiltonian set

Great photos. Still waiting for my next CTT exchange car. Me thinks it is a CA car. [:-^]

Great photos all. Almost missed it. And yes Train season starts after labor day for some but most its ends april 15th and starts on first day of York spring show

Good photos everyone! It’s nice to see all model train photos for once, minus the railfan and travelog photos that are usually mixed in on this Classic Toy Train forum.

I love your idea, Northwoods. Looking forward to future installments. What beauties! Jim, that AF rocket car is the coolest! Does it run?

Better late than never! Wonderful CTT exchange car from Ohio making a visit to the Heartlands [tup]

DougM - The rocket car does run on the AF track. It has the same motorad drive assembly as the Track Mintenance Car 23743.

It is really fast and as such it is rare to find one that is not scuffed up. The really neat part is the pilot can be ejected from the car! There is a spring trigger that holds the pilot in place. It is tripped by passing over a coupler in the up position.

Who makes(made) the Yuengling steamer? I found one entry from traincity that said Kline 3015 2004 catalog.

Thanks, Bob

Bob, K-Line made a conventional Yuengling Brewery Steamer with about a half dozen passenger cars sold exclusively at the brewery, the steamer was manufactured about 10 to 12 years ago. MTH came out with the PS-2 version ( in my picture ) about 2 years ago, also sold exclusively at the brewery. Since K-Line went out of business MTH made the last passenger car in the series for the brewery, unfortunately it does not match the K-Line passenger cars. I like the paint scheme on the K-Line version better than the MTH version, the K-Line version is gold with red trim. K-Line also manufactured a Yuengling SW diesel switcher about 15 years with about a half dozen freight cars, very rare and very expensive.
