Sunday Photo Fun 09-28-2008

John’s pictures of his storage shelves under his layout had me wondering what is under your layout? NowI do not want to set a theme for today, but this is under my layout

Jim,

Great pics of American Flyer as usual.

The old railroaders down at the coffee shop were having a lively discussion the other day about management’s decision to give running rights to one of American Flyer Lines friendly competitiors. It seems that they have the only line into some excellent standing lumber. The deal was in the works the last time I heard, but yesterday some equipment from Lionel Lines showed up for some public relations, publicity and a photo op for railfans. I thought you might like to see the pictures I shot.

The majestic 224E steamed into town mid-morning yesterday.

She was welcomed by the pride of our fleet, the 43226

Management even staged some run bys so that those of use who wanted to could take some pictures of this historic event.

I never tire of those AF pictures gentlemen. Well, I didn’t take any new pictures, so I played with one and the only shot I have of what’s under my table is when I was building it. I try to keep it clear underneath so I can roll it out and go to the rear side of my layout.

Have a great day everyone.

Here are some pics of the Ohio Central 4-6-0 on the Cuyahoga VAlley Scenic Railroad

And here is a video of the run by!

Well my intro to TMCC started with this engine and the rest of the set not shown as still in boxes lol but its the Lionel Chessie Frieght set from 2006 ,

Then I was informed I could have this engine also so I couldn’t turn it down and knew the chief would be pleased to see this on the forum

Then yesterday this one from 1996 I’m guessing one of the first TMCC engine arrived via a Ebay win It doesn’t have smoke, crew talk, or coil couplers but it does have TMCC and rail sounds.

So I’m officially into TMCC and have to say what I like most about it so far I can stop at the train station and the lights stay on without having to cycle e unit into nuetral and then having to cycle back to forward to get going also like the rest of the features including the bell fo

Great pics guys & the video too. JimSP - good job on that trailer too! Env, I like that computerized pic of your layout, made it my wallpaper! RT - VERY NICE! [tup]

Hey I kind of like that engine, too…[;)]

Got it in the Black Diamond Freight set - I think it’s my best locomotive so far.

**RT…**didn’t know thinning out the herd meant a net gain in iron. Keep thinning like this and you’ll need more house soon. Wow!

Guys, the SPF just keeps up a very high standard. My favorite thread waking up on Sundays. Thank you for sharing. Pics were sharp as usual.

Jack

Great pics - all. Thanks for sharing. I’ll have layouts like yours only in my dreams, or when I squint real hard while operating on mine. Can’t imagine how you find the time or acquire the skills.

Pete in W’burg… absolutely spectacular! Hope you’ll show us more in the future.

Wonderful photos guys. This one is especially nice. It looks like it could be from a Lionel Catalog.

Thanks Brutus and Big Walnut Railroader. I made the photo using Corel Draw. Its very easy. In Corel Draw, I have an effects button called “local equalization”, which I set to 100 and presto its done. If you have photo editing software, maybe you have this feature as well.
